January 2010… Slip Space: The Burma-Shave Analogy is Complete

Back in February 2009, I announced on that after five years of work, my game was nearly done. I was tempted to note that I was using 'nearly' as a relative term.

In truth, I still had a lot of work to do. I was basing the optimism on how quickly I had finished one particular puzzle environment. Further, I wanted to get some buzz going in hopes of attracting a publisher.

I was convinced at that time, that I could only release the game with the help of a publisher since the size of the game, over 9 GB, seemed to rule out offering the game through digital download.

However, I finally figured out how to compress the various media that bloated the size, particularly bitmaps and sound files. With that accomplished, the game as a zip file is now 720 MB making download a reasonable delivery channel.

March 2010… Digital Download is Now Available

Finally, you can download and play Slip Space: The Burma-Shave Analogy and get in touch with your inner implant.

I've moved the website to a faster and more powerful server. As such, downloading the 725MB file will be as painless as possible. Further, I've put a system in place to address all possible contingencies in order to guarantee your success in that effort.
